William Marsh 1611 In the name of God Amen the sixth day of May Anno Domini 1611, I William Marsh of Thornbury in ye County of Gloucester tanner being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thanks be unto Almighty God do make and ordayne this my last will and testament in manner and form following, viz first I comend my souls into the hands of God and my body to the earth from where it came. And as concerning that all all goods my god hath to bestow upon me, I give and bequeath the same in manner and form following, viz I give and bequeath unto Mary my beloved wife forty pounds of lawfull money of England. Item I give unto my brother Edward Marsh five pounds. Item I give unto my sister Joahn Marsh five pounds. Item I give to my sister Agnes Marsh my . Item my will is that my loving mother in law Elizabeth Wilcox shall have her use of ten pounds out of mine estate during her natural life and after her decease I give and bequeath the same ten pounds to my said wife. Item my will is that my brother Henry Marsh shall retayne my stock and estate now remaining in his custody and for one whole year after my decease and then my will is that the same stock be unto mine ececutrix hereafter named to be lawfully sold and bequeathed in this my will mentioned . John Marsh 1595 In the name of God Amen the sixth day of January in the year of our lord Jesus Christ 1594 and in the year of the reign of our sovereign Lady Elizabeth by the grace of God queen of England France and Ireland Defender of the faith 37 I John Marsh of the parish of Thornbury in the Diocese and county? of Gloucester husbandman sick in body but good in mind and of perfect memorie thanks be God beyond do make and ordain this my testament containing my last will in manner and form following first I give and recommend my soul unto Almighty God my maker redeemer my body to be buried in the churchyard of Thornbury afforesaid And that of goods God hath me I do give and bequeath as follows. first I give and bequeath to the of Thornbury afforsaid five shillings of good money of England to be paid within one half after my decease by my Executorix. Item I give and bequeath to the poor people of the Tything of in the parish afforesaid six shillings eight pence to be paid by my Executorix within one half year of my decease.
