1.2.6 software view

software view in multi-level view of system

The software view is concerned with software systems and the interactions that they have with each other. In this example the diagram is quite close to that shown for the process view. For a larger problem however there would be a larger design gap to be bridged between the process and software views so the diagrams would be less alike. The example is somewhat futuristic in assuming that the construction company makes heavy use of www (world wide web) and email links and databases. However ten years hence this will be standard practice for the surviving companies.
